HEATHER MACLEOD - VOCALS Heather Macleod has over thirty years of experience working as a professional singer, vocal coach, choir leader, agent and producer. She has run her own business LEOD MUSIC, full-time since 1998 to accommodate the various strands of her work. In a career that has seen her performing, touring and recording with countless bands as lead and backing vocalist, in jazz, folk, blues, soul and big-band settings she also self-produced and released her own album of original songs. Career highlights include playing Glastonbury Pyramid stage and touring the US/Canada/UK with Warner Bros. With her glowing reputation for fine vocal arrangements, she led the harmony powerhouse, The Bevvy Sisters, for thirteen years, and is still sought after to collaborate and arrange vocals for many artists of note. It’s become a key element of her work with choirs, with whom she now enjoys continuing collaborative work. She led choirs and workshops as a guest tutor for years and as well as setting up community choirs for Hibs and Inch communities in Edinburgh, she formed the 100-strong Soundhouse Choir in 2016 who have performed in a host of legendary venues and collaborated with many amazing musicians. Adding to her existing roster of 1-2-1 students, in 2020 she became vocal tutor for Edinburgh University and in 2024 was invited to Aberdeen University too. She tutors BMus and MMus Performance students online and in-person. Heather brings this host of experience to her students, enabling challenges to be overcome easily by creating a safe environment and a feeling of great trust.
