Emily Henderson is a vocalist and community musician with a passion for Scotland’s rich musical traditions. Having been involved with the National Youth Choir of Scotland for 13 years, and holding a Masters in Community Music and Vocal Performance from the University of Aberdeen, Emily brings together vocal expertise and a love for traditional song. Emily has performed on some of the UK’s most prestigious stages, including opening the Edinburgh International Festival and appearing at the Royal Albert Hall. In collaboration with leading Scottish orchestras, Emily has performed with versatility in a range of musical settings. Currently a musicianship teacher with Big Noise Torry (Sistema Scotland) and NYCOS Aberdeen Choir, Emily has also led numerous community music projects across the North East. Emily's current work includes an exciting collaboration with a Norwegian cellist, exploring the shared folklore and mythology of Scotland and Norway.
