The course is for intermediate and advanced players and will cover technique, repertoire, style, a bit of theory
and, where appropriate, a bit of history. The course will focus mainly on Scottish music with occasional
detours into tune writing, improvisation, harmonies, other types of flute music and playing, and maybe a little
about flute maintenance. The course is for players of traditional wooden flute, with or without keys. Players of
Boehm system flutes are also welcome. It will be taught by ear with written material in support.
